Pastor Jake and his wife, Laura-Ashley, moved to Vermont in 2014. They both grew up in Alabama where they found Jesus and began to do their best to follow Him. That journey, among other things, is what led them to uproot and move to Bennington, Vermont in the Spring of 2014. At the time, Vermont was considered the least churched state in the country. As a matter of fact, if it were a country of it's own it would be considered "unreached" by most standards. They moved to Bennington to participate in a new church plant that would eventually become what is now known as the Bennington Campus of Mission City Church.
In 2024, Jake became the Director of Ministries at our church, which insisted on another relocation, this time to Rutland. After 10 years of ministry, they moved to Rutland where their ministry would continue, but change. Currently, Jake is serving as a temporary Campus Pastor for our Rutland Location as we determine and what is in store next.
If you want to get to know Jake and Laura-Ashley on a personal level, you'll have to take up reading, gaming, or College Football watching (but only if you root for the Crimson Tide). Truly, it's a great passion of theirs to share their story and to hear others. Somewhere along the way, they'll do their best to help you find your passion and devote your life to it. They have committed their lives to helping people do things they wouldn't have naturally done on their own, to the glory of God.
