Ricky Vest
Rutland Location Pastor
Pastor Ricky serves at Location Pastor for our Rutand location. He was born in Virginia, and raised in north Georgia. Pastor Ricky came to Christ at the age of 12 when I realized he truly needed Jesus as his Savior and Lord. It wasn't long after this that God called me him into full-time ministry.
While studying at North Greenville University in South Carolina, he met his best friend and wife, Meredith. They served in camp ministry together before God lead them to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
While in Seminary, God called them to invest our lives into what He is doing here in Vermont. Pastor Vest finished his Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry in May of 2015 and moved to Pittsford, Vermont in August of that year.
They have two wonderful children, Creed and Salem, and love serving together with Mission City Church.
He enjoy anything outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc. He also enjoy playing music and watching movies with his family.
Michael Nunn
Castleton Location Pastor
Pastor Michael serves as the Location Pastor of Castleton and Outreach Pastor for all campuses at Mission City Church. He was born in Greensboro, NC but went to school in Wake Forest, NC. He attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is pursuing a B.A. in Christian Studies, with a minor in student ministry and preaching.
Pastor Michael came to Christ when he was nine years old, but didn't start truly following Jesus until I was a freshman in college. That's when God called him into full-time Christian ministry.
While at Southeastern Jesus has taught him so much and he has shown him how amazing his bride is, the local church, like Mission City Church is. God has given him a love for all Bible believing churches and the passion to plant a church one day. Michael believes God has brought him to Rutland to let him grow and learn what church planting is all about.
My hobbies are sports, especially lacrosse and Duke basketball! I also enjoy being outdoors, bike riding and hanging in my portable, eno hammock! He has a passion for technology and web design as well!
Jake Stone
Bennington Location Pastor
Pastor Jake serves as our Location Pastor for the Bennington location. He grew up in north Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama. He and his wife, Laura-Ashley, moved to Bennington in the spring of 2014. That move has been nothing short of incredible. They, along with a few other friends, started Summit Church. That church is now known as the Bennington location for Mission City Church! The rest, as they say, is history!
Growing up in a christian home, Jake became a Christian at the age of 12. As he would put it, it wasn't until his time away at college that he fully submitted his life to Jesus. Throughout his college career, God gave Jake multiple opportunities to travel the world and spread the gospel. It was through these experiences that God showed him what life is truly about. Jesus.
Jake has a passion for college students, learning about leadership, video games, and a good movie. If you really want to get him fired up, take him out to the golf course! Or a good burger joint.
