Mission City Church Family and Friends,
As most of you know by now, in light of the Corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have moved all weekend services, and group gatherings to our online platforms. The health and safety of our church family is our top priority, and it seems wise to protect Mission City families, servants, staff, and our communities. We know that social distancing is one of the best protections against the virus, which has the potential to spread rapidly in communities.
The good news is we will be hosting WEEKEND SERVICES ONLINE by Facebook Live and YouTube, as well as offering online messages here on our website!!! We want everyone to join us as we continue our HOPE IN A SEASON OF UNCERTAINTY series this weekend! Not only can you experience the music and message from the comfort of home, Facebook live includes a chat feature so you can connect with others, share prayer requests, and experience community online. Mcity Kids even have something special planned so stay tuned.
Facebook: We have 3 Facebook Live worship times: Thursday / 6:30 and Sunday / 9:00am & 5:00pm.
YouTube: We have 1 live YouTube event: Sunday / 10:45
Thank you Jesus for technology! We are thankful that our church can worship together virtually, even if we can’t be together in person.
Frequently Asked Questions:
We also want to address some questions you may have.
Q: Has anyone at Mission City tested positive for Coronavirus?
No. At this time we are unaware of anyone from Mission City who has tested positive. There person from our church family who has been closely monitored. We believe it’s best to be proactive by worshiping together online until further notice to prevent any possible spread of the virus.
Q: I’m leading / participating in a Group, during the week. Should we still meet?
We are encouraging all Groups to meet together online and continue to support each other. In this digital age, you can continue to find community, care and prayer, even at a distance! There are a number of tools to help you – Google Hangouts, GroupMe, What’sApp, Zoom, and more. All of our groups have paused their current studies, so don't hesitate to join a group at this time. You can sign-up by clicking here and a group leader will reach out to you.
Q: Will the weekend experiences be canceled next week as well?
We are moving all services online (not cancelling -you can't cancel the church) until our state and national leaders give us the clearance to gather physically again. The situation with the Coronavirus is changing rapidly, and we’re committed to closely monitoring the situation to make those decisions week by week. Stay tuned as we will communicate often in regards to our gatherings.
