Dorcas Plemmons likes to say she has the awesome privilege of serving as MCityKids Director at Mission City Church. Her family moved to Vermont after visiting this beautiful state on mission trips. "God had a bigger mission for us than just trips, and we couldn't be more excited to have the opportunity to serve the people of Rutland."

Dorcas became a follower of Jesus at an early age, then as a young adult, I began to understand more, the importance of having a relationship with Jesus. After that day, God has used me in ways that I could have never dreamed of or imagined.

I have a huge heart for children. I especially love sharing Jesus and His love each week with them in our MCityKids experiences. I am honored to have the chance to serve in this way at Mission City Church.

She attended Asheville-Buncombe Community College in Asheville, NC where she received my Early Childhood Development credentials and later attended and received my Dental Radiology Certification.

She is blessed with an amazing husband, Heath, who is one of the Service Pastors of Mission City Church, and with our three precious children, Drew, J.J., and Ivy Grace. In there spare time they enjoy lots of family time! They love being outdoors, exploring the gorgeous state God has placed them in, and taking in the "true Winter's" that this part of our country has to offer.

Operations Coach

“Love what you do” -- these four words remind Rhiannon Barnett to strive with excellence, even in failing, at the things she loves. Her calling to be in the muck and mire of mission work is one of many things she loves, which is why she has devoted herself to the Operations Director position with Mission City Church.

She’s an Oklahoma girl from the small town of Randlet, located in the southwest part of the state. But she felt a calling to go beyond the comfort of her home when she was a freshman in college while working at the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma summer camp Falls Creek. Working side-by-side with North American Mission Board (NAMB) and International Mission Board (IMB) missionaries showed her she was to dedicate her life to missions and be sold no matter the call.

After graduating from Cameron University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in international languages and political science, she made a leap for Vermont. She joined NAMB and was scheduled to only be in Vermont for one year. But Rhiannon discovered the great need for the Gospel in New England and could not fathom leaving what NAMB was doing in New England. After six years, Rhiannon is still with NAMB serving with Vermont Church Planting and Mission City Church.

As Mission City Church’s Operations Director, Rhiannon desires to aid and equip those who are leading and serving on each location and to foster and share the church’s vision. When she’s not in the church office, Rhiannon can be found at a local coffee shop curled up in a book. She finds that you can learn a lot about a particular location by observing it over a smooth medium roast.

Lyandon Warren
Missions Coach

In the fall of 2006, after serving on several summer mission trips to Vermont, North Carolina native, Lyandon Warren and his wife Kim sensed a call to establish a gospel witness in the town of West Pawlet, VT. Realizing that Vermont was the least religious state in America and in desperate need of evangelical churches, the Warren’s moved to Vermont in the summer of 2006 and launched Mettowee Valley Church in the spring of 2007.

Since that time, the Warren’s have enjoyed seeing the church grow along with their family. In August of 2007and 2009, the Warren’s experienced two miracles of The Lord. The birth of their two daughters, Ava and Charlotte. In 2012, they had the privilege of helping start two other church plants in the neighboring towns of Poultney and Castleton, VT. Since Pastor Lyandon began his church planting journey in Vermont, he has always desired to be a part of a Multiplication Center like Mission City Church. Now that that he and his family have joined the MCC team, by God’s grace, he is seeing this dream become a reality.

Outside of ministry, Pastor Lyandon enjoys spending time with his family, running, hunting, fishing and enjoying an outdoor lifestyle. Living in Vermont has been a blessing and a place he and his family love to call home.
